I can't connect to my DNP3 outstation.
Check that the outstation IP address and port are correct (default DNP3 TCP port is 20000). Ensure your Mac and the outstation are on the same network. Verify that the master address and outstation address match the device configuration. Try pinging the device IP from Terminal: ping 192.168.1.100
How do I scan for points?
In Master mode, connect to your outstation (TCP or serial). Then perform an integrity poll (class 0) to discover all points. Binary inputs, analog inputs, counter inputs, and their current values will appear in the point table.
How do I simulate a DNP3 outstation?
Switch to Outstation mode. Configure the outstation address and master address. Add binary input, analog input, and counter input points with their initial values. Start the server. Connect any DNP3 master to your Mac's IP and the configured port.
My license key doesn't work.
Make sure you enter the full key including dashes (format: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX). Check that you have an internet connection during first activation — the app needs to validate the key once. After activation, the app works offline. If you still have trouble, contact support below.
I bought from the Mac App Store. Do I need a license key?
No. The Mac App Store version is automatically licensed through your Apple ID. No license key needed. The paywall only appears in the direct-download (DMG) version.
I bought via Polar.sh but want to switch to the Mac App Store.
Purchases through Polar.sh and the Mac App Store are separate. We cannot transfer purchases between platforms. Both versions are identical in features.
The app crashes or freezes.
Make sure you're running macOS 13 (Ventura) or later. If the app freezes during a DNP3 operation, try disconnecting and reconnecting. If the issue persists, contact support with your macOS version, the app version, and what you were doing when it happened.
How do I perform class 1/2/3 event polling?
In Master mode, after performing an integrity poll, you can initiate event scans for class 1, 2, or 3 individually. Events generated by the outstation (point changes, counter increments) will be returned in the event scan response with SOE timestamps.
How do I send a time sync command?
In Master mode, use the time synchronization function to send the current time to the outstation. You can also issue cold restart (full reset) and warm restart (communication stack reset) commands from the master control panel.
